Enjoyed a very good lunch at Blue Fin Grill today. Went with two business associates, one whom is a regular at this establishment.
Had a very nice rice bowl with grilled salmon. Fresh, tasty and it clearly hit the spot. The folks I dined with did sushi rolls which I did taste. The sushi was quite good. This is a nice suburban restaurant with quality food and attention to detail. I get spoiled in Hollywood; however, today I was in Simi Valley and my guess is that Blue Fin Grill is as good as it gets when here. Service was decent and the low prices were a pleasant surprise. This was actually my second time dining here. I plan on trying them for dinner sometime soon. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

We were a large group. Everyone said that their food was very good. I stuck with a basic bento box with the teriyaki steak. It was pretty good. The salad was ok. I liked the California roll and the steak was good. They had nice rolls on the table that were good as well. I ordered the crème brulee. It was good, not the best I have had, but good. Others said the Chilean Sea Bass was very good.

Went again today for lunch. Of course I got the sea bass again. They never steer us wrong here. it is fantastic! Its not on the lunch menu, but you can get it for lunch. Service is usually good, and the sourdough rolls are to die for! Its gonna cost ya 59.00 for two people to order this, but to us, worth every penny! Its the only thing we ever order here. LOL

Try and eat here at least once a week, usually for lunch. Love the place. I order the sushi and salads. Have really great sushi if you want something quick and tasty.

In only about a half dozen visits, this has become our favorite sushi spot. Great fish, huge rolls, terrific service and surprisingly low prices. We'll be going often!

For Simi Valley, this place is pretty good and well above average. When I lived in Simi, I remember the older, much smaller location on the far end of the strip mall. It was cozy and had the atmosphere of a new, fine dining experience for this small town. Although not necessarily a fusion of flavors or cuisines, what was different at the time that set this place apart from other restaurants in the area was the offering of sushi rolls and bento boxes at the same place they served dishes like pasta primavera, chicken piccata, and rack of lamb. The current location is near the 24hr Fitness gym on Madera and Royal. It is much more spacious and they have a separate bar near the entrance in addition to the sushi bar. Although heavily Asian themed food, the sushi is not the greatest (as some other reviews indicate). My usual that I would recommend is the arugula & mango salad to start, shrimp and scallops pasta as the entree, and the monster banana for dessert. The caramelized bananas are so good.

Killer Sushi! We've always gone to Cho Cho San's off T.O. blvd.. but it's always very crowded and loud. We were referred to Blue Fin and can confidently say they have much better sushi! Ask for the "Damon" Sauce.. it rocks!

Food is great, delicious. I don't eat sushi, so I can't comment, but other food is very. They get 4 stars, service was a little slow but our waitress was great and very nice (she was pretty busy) it looked like only a couple servers were there when we were there.

This is probably the best japanese fusion / sushi place in Simi Valley. They have an expanded menu - not only is their sushi fresh and tasty - but they also have an expanded menu for the non-sushi crowd. It is conveniently located in the Albertson's center off of Madera. The interior is nice and welcoming, but not the most chic ambiance. The restaurant is decent sized, but if you come at popular times there is likely a wait. We tend to eat the sushi when we go - their rolls are particularly good. We like the spicy tuna and some of their spectialty rolls like BRC roll. Prices are reasonable by LA standards, but they are a little more expensive than the other local sushi joints. This is offset by the higher quality of food and presentation. Dishes about $10 - $12 for a specialty roll and $5- $6 for a handroll.

Our entire family has been visiting Bluefin since it opened at it's first location just down the parking lot. Hass is the most accommodating host/owner, and he is an excellent chef working in some of the best restaurants in the country. Now at his place, he offers the some of the finest dining in Simi Valley. Their Sea Bass is to die for. Sushi is Nuvo, with some traditional and some inspiringly distinct offerings. Our entire family 6 sons come to visit with Hass and be personally assisted by his gracious staff. For family events, he has personally cooked for us, preparing us his delicious 7 course meals, with starters, 3 entrees and deserts. We love his hospitality and cherish Hass friendship.
